Finishing
Porta Contours can be finished by your preferred coating contractor. We recommend finishing Contours in Engineered American Oak with a clear protective coating to showcase the natural timber grain. Engineered American Oak Contours can be stained to complement your interior design.
A typical standard finish is a clear satin (30% gloss) coating. Fireshield® intumescent coating can be applied to Porta Contours to provide a Group 1 solution, compliant with the National Construction Code.

As a hardwood with good characteristics of hardness and strength, American Oak is easy to work with and ideal for high traffic areas. Its warm tone provides an inviting neutral backdrop that pairs beautifully with neutral and colourful interior design elements.
